Go After Your Dreams!

This is officially the first Motivational Monday post! (insert happy dance)

I have a feeling that these are going to be my favorite posts from my blog. If you know me, you know that I'm a sucker for anything that is motivational or inspiring, especially quotes. There is just something about them that speak to me and make me believe that I can do anything.

(Ya, like I said... I'm a sucker for them!)

For Valentine's Day, my sister gave me the most perfect gift. It wasn't the size or the cost that made it so special, but the message it had.

The gift was a mug.

Yup, that's right, a mug! A plain, black and white, simple mug.

So, what's the big deal you ask? Well, it was the quote on the mug that really moved me.

"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined" - Thoreau

This quote couldn't have come at a better time in my life.

For months, I'd been searching for something that I felt was missing in my life. Something that I could be passionate about. I prayed and patiently waited for a sign. Then one morning, out of the blue, I woke up with the urge to start this blog. Just like that!

Two weeks later, Metanoia Living was created.

For me, this blog started off by just being something fun to do on my spare time, a hobby, and something that I could share with my family and friends. But the more I write, the more I find myself dreaming and wanting to make it bigger and better. I'd been debating whether I should make an investment on something that, let's be real, I'm still fairly new at, but like I mentioned in my previous post, I've never taken on a project as fulfilling and rewarding as this one. So I asked myself, why not follow the path that my heart is leading me towards? Why not "confidently go in the direction of my dreams"?

So, that is exactly what I plan to do.

In the next few weeks, you'll be seeing a lot of changes to the blog. I'm currently working on new ideas and creative ways to make my vision come to life. The mug was the confirmation I needed to allow myself to move forward with my dream.

Ask yourself what makes you come alive and go after it! If you're contemplating an idea that you've been wanting to pursue, go for it! Don't let fear or any other obstacle get in the way. Even if it seems unattainable and the odds are against you, just do it! You'll never know where it could lead you unless you muster up the courage to try.

Always continue to dream and take action towards making it a reality. As long as you believe in yourself, you're halfway there.
