Respite Care
What is Respite Care?
Service Description
NDIS Respite Care is a type of support provided under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in Australia. It offers short-term care for NDIS participants, giving both the person with a disability and their usual carers a temporary break. There are different types of respite care, including: Short-Term Accommodation (STA): Covers accommodation, personal care, meals, and activities for a few days to a few weeks. In-home respite: A support worker visits the participant’s home to provide care so the usual carer can take time off. Community-based respite: The participant spends time in a community setting or group environment with support. The aim is to support well-being, prevent burnout for carers, and promote independence and social inclusion for participants. If you are interested in this Service, please contact us.
